Barceló Whale Lagoon Maldives

Our stay at the Barcelo Whale Lagoon Maldives in a water villa was fantastic. The friendly staff, amazing villa with stunning views, and beautiful beach made our experience unforgettable. We loved spending time in the pool and enjoying the serene lagoon pool views. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely 5star experience in a beautiful destination. The staff was incredible nice and attentive and we loved our water villa … especially the bathroom and bathtub with a view. Food was good too and the pool area residing. As was the spa.

words cannot describe how happy and satisfied I was during my stay at this hotel. From a personal perspective, I can say that the staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, kind, helpful.They made me feel like part of a family. As a solo traveler, I never felt alone or unsafe; I always felt secure and comfy. the cleanliness was impeccable. The hotel and the entire island were exceptionally clean. I enjoyed walking around the island every early morning to catch the sunrise and again every evening to watch the sunset. I preferred walking rather than using a buggy or bike. the food was outstanding. The variety and quality of the dishes were exceptional. The diving center staff are very helpful and competent! Highly recommend the hotel for travelers, i will surely come back there!

This is a lovely new property with amazing rooms, views, and incredible staff. We booked an overwater bungalow and it was well worth it. Spacious and comfortable room with access to the beautiful clear blue water where we were able to see many fish. The resort has an infinity pool too with great sunset views. Bar service there was always great. The property is smaller, (maybe a mile around?), but not too small and easy to walk. The staff were always so accommodating. Staff at the restaurant were always so attentive: Called us by name, kind, and noticed our preferences. The front desk manager was so sweet and kind. Very personable and talkative with us throughout the trip with a great memory of us. The dive staff were very fun and we had a great trip with them! We were able to swim with whale sharks - such a breathtaking experience! Our housekeeper was incredible!! He provided the most creative towel animals I've ever seen and he noticed preferences of ours (water on our night stand at bedtime) and started doing things we preferred without us asking. He would ask when we wanted him to clean and always accommodated. He deserves an award! At first, I was on the fence about the bathroom being without air conditioning and having the outside air flow in, but after getting used to it the first night, I loved it! It calmed me! I am appreciative of the air conditioning in the bedroom though! It was the best of both worlds. The overwater bungalow is incredible and we loved being on the end, as well. This resort is worth returning! We loved it!

Beautiful small peaceful island. Everyone remembers our name, which was awesome. Trip to the whale shark was the best thing I have ever experienced. Our room cleaner is so talented, who makes a beautiful farewell on our last day. Best choice for couples.

A truly amazing and first class hotel, highly recommended. Having done a lot of research before we chose this hotel we were not disappointed with our choice. The peace and tranquility of this hotel makes the whole experience feel like you can truly relax, you are in complete silence with only the odd sound of a bird. True bliss. The gardens are stunning and include a kitchen garden and help create this relaxing environment. All the public spaces are furnished luxuriously with attention to detail well thought through and blending well with the environment. The infinity pools overlook directly into the lagoon with the crystal clear waters of the sea absolutely spectacular. We stayed in an overwater which was stunning everything in the villa was to a very high standard. Highly recommended you stay in one of these villas. We watched the sea life from the deck and watched amazing sunsets. Everything in this hotel is top quality and you feel you are being well and truly spoilt. We had an all inclusive package the food was a good standard freshly cooked with a lot of variety for each meal. Including healthy or not so healthy options! If you want to indulge! The drinks were of an excellent quality, cocktail were perfect as was the wine and spirits all top brands. Last but not least the staff need to be commended for their role in making your holiday special. They are truly exceptional and go over and above to make your holiday a memorable experience. We will definitely go back to this hotel and can’t wait to book again. A truly memorable holiday a special thank you to all the staff.

we had the best stay so far. food beach snorkelling and the gardens. also this is our honeymoon and we love the way they treat us. all the staffs are amazing and saitte took us to depture gate kind and smilling. we sjould come back as soon as possible

The food was delicious with many options to choose from. Snorkeling at the house reef was one of the best parts of my stay. The underwater views were amazing, full of colorful fish and coral. It was a magical experience. The beach at the resort is gorgeous, with white sand and clear water. It was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun. The staff were very friendly and professional. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality made my stay even better. I highly recommend this beautiful Whale Lagoon to those who are looking for a relaxing and fun getaway. It has everything you need for a perfect vacation.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful island. The beach villa was perfect, with beautiful views. The resort is very nice, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We loved everything and will definitely come back! Highly recommend this place!
